Heads up from [YOUR NAME]
5 Quick Security Checks
That Could Save You
Hey [NAME / everyone],
I've been learning more about cybersecurity lately and wanted to share
a few things worth checking. Each one takes about 5 minutes.
No tech experience needed.

01
Check if your email was in a data breach
Go to haveibeenpwned.com
and type in your email address. It's free and shows every breach your data appeared in.
Change passwords for anything that shows up.
02
Turn on two-factor authentication on your email
Your email is the master key to every other account. If someone
gets in, they can reset every password you own. Enable 2FA in your
account security settings — it takes 3 minutes.
03
Stop reusing passwords
One breached site hands attackers the keys to every account using
the same password. Get a free password manager like
Bitwarden
— it remembers everything so you don't have to.
04
Never click links in unexpected texts or emails
If you get a "suspicious activity" alert or package delivery notice
you didn't expect — don't click the link. Open a new browser tab
and go directly to the company's website instead.
05
Update your devices — yes, right now
Most attacks exploit known vulnerabilities that updates already fixed.
Check your phone and computer for pending updates and install them.
Turn on automatic updates so you don't have to think about it.
REMEMBER
Cybercriminals don't need to be sophisticated — they just need
you to be in a hurry. Slowing down for 10 seconds before clicking
anything unexpected is the single most protective habit you can build.

[OPTIONAL: Add a personal note here — e.g., "I've been using Bitwarden
for 6 months and it's been a game changer." or "Mom, please check #1
— I looked up our family email and it showed up in 3 breaches."]
Stay safe,
[YOUR NAME]
